Why did we start an animal rescue

Rescues are not perceived as a definitive solution; however, we cannot ignore an injured animal in distress. As we strive for long-term solutions, our goal is to establish a framework that allows us to assist animals in need. Furthermore, our visible commitment to animal welfare has influenced those around us. Individuals who were once indifferent have begun to report rescues and even participate in the capture of animals.

What was the beginning of our journey?

Prior to the commencement of construction on Chhaya Foundation Trust, our rescue efforts were already underway. We provided essential first aid to animals found on the streets. Timely intervention for minor injuries often prevents the development of infections, extensive maggot wounds, and other serious complications. Subsequently, we established facilities for both small and large animals, allowing for the safe recovery of more complex cases. .

Why Chhaya foundation trust??

What is our current status?

We operate a rescue van dedicated to dogs and a rescue jeep specifically designed for cows. Additionally, we offer a program called “Treat on Street” that provides assistance to animals with minor injuries.

We possess a treatment room designated for small animals, two operating theaters for small animals, one operating theater for large animals, a distinct treatment area for outpatients, and a diagnostics laboratory.

This facility serves as a secure environment for the rehabilitation of injured animals. We are equipped to accommodate 30 large animals and 55 small animals. These areas are utilized to facilitate the recovery of animals from injuries and to perform sterilization procedures prior to their return to their original locations, adoption, or, in cases deemed incurable, to provide a humane euthanasia.

Animals that are unable to be released for any reason remain in our care until they are placed in permanent homes. A number of them have already discovered their forever homes with us.
