Chhaya Foundation Trust

We create video content with three primary objectives.

Street animals face immense challenges, from injury and hunger to neglect and abandonment. Raising awareness is the first step in creating a kinder world where these animals are not just ignored, but cared for and protected. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and mobilize communities to take action.

Why Chhaya Foundation Trust

It is our desire to prevent children from experiencing the regret that many of us carry: the sentiment of wishing we had embraced kindness earlier in life. We aim to ensure that they do not grow up feeling discontented due to a lack of carefully considered aspirations. Furthermore, we seek to protect them from developing an ambiguous understanding of success or happiness, which advertisers may exploit in their adulthood, ultimately leading to a dissonance between their values and their behaviors. We urge parents and educators to incorporate these videos into children's activities. This approach can facilitate the initiation of significant and thought-provoking discussions with young individuals, while also fostering their development into kinder and more compassionate persons.

Motivation

Chhaya Foundation Trust Toons was created to advance one of our organization's main missions – awareness. We believe that, while we can only save so many animals on our own, creating awareness and fostering a ripple effect in society is important.

We operate a rescue van dedicated to dogs and a rescue jeep specifically designed for cows. Additionally, we offer a program called “Treat on Street” that provides assistance to animals with minor injuries.

We possess a treatment room designated for small animals, two operating theaters for small animals, one operating theater for large animals, a distinct treatment area for outpatients, and a diagnostics laboratory.

This facility serves as a secure environment for the rehabilitation of injured animals. We are equipped to accommodate 30 large animals and 55 small animals. These areas are utilized to facilitate the recovery of animals from injuries and to perform sterilization procedures prior to their return to their original locations, adoption, or, in cases deemed incurable, to provide a humane euthanasia.

Animals that are unable to be released for any reason remain in our care until they are placed in permanent homes. A number of them have already discovered their forever homes with us.
